Business Leaders India is an automated newsroom that synthesises original English coverage from regional Indian and international press, three times a day.
Today marks the public launch of Business Leaders India, a news site built around a simple idea. The Indian press publishes some of the most interesting reporting in the world, but most of it sits in regional languages, behind regional pay walls, or in formats that English-speaking readers never see. We built this site to translate that signal into clear, plain English coverage that respects the source and reaches the reader.
Every story you read here started as one or more pieces of source reporting in Indian regional languages or major international outlets. Our editorial system pulls those pieces three times a day, finds where multiple sources agree on a story, and synthesises one original English news piece for an Indian audience. Each article is between 800 and 1200 words, written in active voice, with a strong human angle.
The system covers nine beats. Business is the anchor: companies, startups, deals, and leadership moves. Finance follows the markets, the Reserve Bank of India, and personal finance. Entertainment covers Bollywood, regional cinema, and OTT releases. Sports leads with cricket but covers the full diet. Lifestyle, Health and Fitness, Travel, International News, and Vedic Astrology round out the rest.
What makes this different from a wire-service summary is the editorial frame. Each beat is written through the lens of a domain expert. Business pieces apply the perspective of a senior business news anchor, an investigative finance journalist, and a wire-service business reporter. Health pieces apply the perspective of a senior practising neurosurgeon and chief medical correspondent. Astrology pieces apply the perspective of a respected Vedic astrologer with a modern, accessible voice. We never name the experts. We borrow their angle.
We commit to a few editorial principles publicly. We attribute every claim to its source. We never invent humans, scenarios, or quotes that do not appear in our source material. We do not use em dashes. We do not throat-clear with phrases like “in a significant development” or “in conclusion”. We translate corporate jargon and policy language into the kind of English you would use to explain a story to a smart friend over chai.
Health pieces close with a disclaimer that they are informational and not medical advice. Astrology pieces close with a note that the content reflects traditional Vedic interpretation as reported in source publications. We treat both beats with the seriousness their readers deserve.
Behind the scenes, every article passes a helpfulness audit before it goes live. The audit checks for fabricated humans, banned filler phrases, source attribution, and reading-ease scores. Pieces that do not clear the audit do not publish. A separate daily sample audit compares a few articles against the live search results and flags any piece that reads like a carbon copy of what is already out there.
